Over the Hill and through the woods…

Over the hills and through the woods to Grandmother's house we go . . . (singing that in my head over and over and over again)

Anyways – The boys and I went to Grandmas house on Monday night for a visit. On the way there we swung by to look at a big park the community built last fall but it is still covered in a foot of snow.

I had to make sure to shoot a few pictures of the Serpent that is between the park and the lake. I have seen this Serpent a thousand times over my life and never thought it was creepy or scary. Now as a dad with little kids I could see how they would be a little scared of it.

I do have to say I really like the colors of it on a sunny day.

    I can see how that might be scary to kids too. The colors are sure pretty though. Love the blue sky too.

    I really love the colors you captured here. That is quite a cool serpent, but I can see how it would scare the little ones! I really like that first shot.

    Cool serpent! The colors are beautiful against the white snow and blue sky. I'm not sure which is my favorite. :)

    wow jason, i thought thia was a drawing.it was if the background color was selected by the creator..not mother nature! i really like the cropping... fantastic job!

    The image is kindof sureal! Those vibrant colors against the subdued background is neat.
