More info on NILMDTS

A little info about NILMDTS

As I posted a few days ago Darcy and I are getting involved with NILMDTS (Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep). We went to training yesterday and learned a ton and met someone awesome people that will help make this journey easier in several ways.

When I have talked about NILMDTS to friends, I get the response of “Why would you want to do that?” I feel by donating a few hours of my time, if I could help the healing process I am glad I can be part of that. I have had a lot of questions about NILMDTS so I thought I would put some info out there for you.

First check out http://www.nilmdts.org/ there is some really amazing information on there.

Also check out this video. Jessica is one of the area coordinators for MN. I feel this video pretty much says it all.

Garage Conversion DONE (well 99.9%)

First I want to say a HUGE Thank You! To all the people that have helped me out, Jerry, Steve Roger and Dale I could not have done this with out you guys.

THANKS!

It has been a long month in and a half but it has been worth it. We converted our garage for two purposes. One is for a place for me and the boys to hang when DW has patients here and we can not be in the house (one heck of a man cave). Second was so we had a nice place to shoot with out having to switch DW’s office around for a studio. We have a second garage behind the house that will hold all the “STUFF” that the other garage had in it. I will be parking outside but that is ok. We did this project with the idea if we ever had to move we could easily convert it back to a garage without loosing a ton of money.

Here are some pics. I would love to hear your feedback.

Thanks

Some Fairy Stuff

We had a great opportunity to do some photos of some friends of ours before Labor Day. Their little girls were awesome and such little troopers, we put them through a lot of shots. We had a blast with you guys! Here are a few shots.

We feel very blessed to get to be a part of this...

We just found out a few days ago that Darcy and I (as Kingwood Studios) have been accepted to become involved in the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep foundation. We have been thinking about volunteering for the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep foundation for awhile but after little Jessica passed away we felt more than ever that God was asking us to use the talents he has given us to do something to help others through that difficult time. We know this will be very challenging for our hearts but feel very called to do it. Our work has been accepted and we attend training in a week. Please feel free to contact us if you know if anyone who is in need of these services.

Wisconsin Dells

Wisconsin Dells

Well its been about three weeks since we were there, I am finally getting around to going through some of the pictures from the week. I do have to say the highlight of the trip for me was Cameron asking to go down this ride…. I can NOT believe we wanted to do that. I am extremely proud of him for wanting to try it and to go through with it. This is the kid
that likes to wear the seatbelt on the merry-go-round…
