Tooth fairy

Well Cameron lost his first tooth this week. Auntie Jenny had a pretty big hand in getting that tooth out. She worked on it for a bit when we went out for a visit and then the next day at daycare it popped out. The tooth fairy came that night and took the tooth from the glass of water on the table and when her wing touched the water it stained the water green. Do you suppose the tooth fairy has green wings (I guess it is a Swedish tradition to leave the tooth in a glass of water and then the kids guess before bed what color wings she has, I grew up with putting in under my pillow)? She left Cameron a bunch of change, man the economy in tooth fairy land must be good I never got that much when I was a kid. I bet it is because she does not have to pay for gas.

Oh and it is hard to see where the tooth came out of because the other one is well on its way to being all the way in.

Grandpa Dave sent me a picture of Cameron posing with Smokey on the 4th of July. Thanks for sending that to me Dave, I had no idea he had posed with him.

Hanging At The Beach

The boys got to spend some quality time with mom at the beach this week. I think they loved every minute of it!

Happy Birthday Bud! I can not believe you are 6 years old already. This year on his birthday he was once again in the Crosby parade riding in the Corvette with Grandma Judy and Papa Dave. He saw lots of friends and family and even a special man shouted out to him…when Cam couldn’t recognize who it was the guy ran up to the car, took his sun glasses off and said, “Hi Cam, it’s me! Mr. Aulie!!!” (his kindergarten teacher). I guess it was super cute!!! Then it was back to the campground to have a picnic with the Grandmas and Grandpas and Jen and her kiddos and our camping friends James, Jill, Hannah, Evan and Austin. We had a big picnic, complete with cupcakes and then opened presents. To give you a clue as to truly what kind of kid Cam is these are some of the presents he received: an introduction to electricity kit, a metal detector, tiddly winks, colored paper clips, and I think his favorite so far…a home made inventers kit complete with every color of duct tape imaginable, tons of string, paper clips, other types of clips, power cords and lots of other goodies. Too fun! The kids participated in a bike parade that afternoon and swam like crazy that night. It was a fun weekend!!!

Maybe I Am A Geek

Maybe I am a geek, all my friends and family say I am a geek and I think I am hip and cool since I list to a “hip” radio station and I am not 30 yet.... Anyways I was looking for cool birthday ideas for Cameron when I stumbled on a robotic arm game. The moment I saw that I had a flash back to the early 80’s. I had forgotten all about the “Armatron” until just a few nights ago. When I was a little kid I remember be fascinated with this device and had always wanted one. So for the heck of it I typed “Aramatron “into my friend ebay and it came up with a few auctions. Well as of this morning at 1 am I am the proud new owner of an “Armatron”. I can not wait to get it.

I have to confess a little, I know over the past few years I have been becoming a little more “geeky” but maybe I have always been a little bit of a geek. Oh well at least I will have a cool Armatron to play with. Now back to what I was originally doing. I need to go find a birthday present for Cam, I think he is going to follow in my foot steps. He is going to be hip and cool.

Now This Is Camping

This past weekend the neighbors at the campground rented a LARGE jump house. The boys loved playing in it. This thing was HUGE!

Nathan & Lisa's Wedding

I had a great opportunity to attend a wedding a few weeks that Darcy was in. We had no kids with us for most of it so it gave me a chance to play with the camera. Lisa & Nathan I hope you like some of these pictures. Congratulations you guys!

My Boys

Chase

This is our buddy Chase! We have been Kinship partners with him since we was 7 and now he is 16 and waaaaay taller than I am. Chase is such an awesome kid, I am really blessed that I have been able to watch him grow. Chase is not going to be a senior yet but we needed some test subjects so his mom volunteered him ;) for a little shoot.
