It looks like a Christmas star decoration to me. :)
I agree with Mandy. Looks like they didn't realize solid concrete would be so heavy and it fell from the tree. lol
MY guess is a missing piece from a giant's jacks game. LOL!
LOL on Pat's guess and Sharon's comment. It looks like it's made of concrete...is that right? If so, I haven't a clue what it is!

It's too late at night to come up with my own clever guess, so I'll go with Pat's! You captured a great shot of it...whatever it is.
I am going to guess it was a decoration of some kind from a fancy wall or gate. Very interesting shape!

From a sculpture garden? WHERE ARE YOU WALKING!!!!!! (And I'd keep an eye to the sky--maybe with a concrete umbrella above you.)
No clue, but it looks pretty cool!
